Wikipedia Lounge – Monday 24 October

John Rylands University Library is hosting a ‘Wikipedia Lounge’ on Monday 24 October, 10.00am – 6.00pm, in the Seminar Room of the Main Library, Burlington Street.

This is a drop-in event where experienced Wikipedians will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. The event is open to all members of the University and is free to attend. You are welcome to attend. Please also promote to our students and academic colleagues.

Looking for help with online research? Want to learn how to use Wikipedia as an academic resource? Found a mistake but don’t know how to fix it? Then the Wikipedia lounge is for you! Images of Research Competition – Needs Your Votes!

We challenged researchers at The University of Manchester to share their work with you using just a single, inspiring image and short description.

Now you get the chance to decide on the winning entry in our Images of Research photographic competition.

The shortlisted entries are being exhibited at the John Rylands Library Deansgate (3 – 28 October), and at the Manchester Science Spectacular at Whitworth Hall (29 October).
