STEPS Tea Party! 9 March 2011

The STEPS Tea Party will be held on 9 March and is the place to come if you want to meet other postgraduate research students, find out more info on skills training, get some great career tips and advice and (most importantly) eat free cakes!!

The Tea Party will include some great talks and interactive sessions;

3.30-4pm; Arrive – Free Tea, Coffee, Cakes

4pm; Introduction from Jim Miles (Associate Dean, Graduate Education)

4.05; Elizabeth Wilkinson (Head of Postgraduate Career Development) with a practical session to help you make a great first impression.

A chance to get up, meet other postgrads and practice talking about your own research.

4.30; A talk from Dan Colegate (Co-Founder of Post Graduate Toolbox)

Get to grips with the fantastic careers tools and online support networks at your disposal, with live demos.

4.50; Up to the Burlington Bar!

If you’d like to come along, we’d really appreciate it if you could register your interest here. Registration isn’t compulsory – we just want to know how many cakes to buy!!
