Need help with writing? Online Writing Clinic

The University-wide Online Writing Clinic is a cross-faculty resource for postgraduate students at the University of Manchester. It is a ‘drop in’ facility which allows you to ask any questions you might have regarding academic writing.

The first few minutes of each clinic will be a brief review of the main points of one topic from the Blackboard materials. The clinic will then be open for questions on any topic related to academic writing.

The clinics  will take place between 1.00-2.00pm on Wednesdays.
There will be a clinic each Wednesday from 28th April until Wednesday 9th June 2010.

To access the on-line clinic, follow the link below on the dates and times specified above:

http://breeze1.manchester.ac.uk/alp/

Enter as ‘Guest’. Type in your name and include your Faculty in brackets e.g. John (EPS). You will need headphones to listen to the clinic.

Please note: questions will be answered in the order they are posted and the clinic will end at 2.00pm (questions will be accepted until 1.55pm). Guidance will be generic as it is a University-wide resource, and the clinics are to complement (not as an alternative to) the on-line course or in-sessional classes.
