Following on from the previous post about the Manchester “eScholar” open repository project,  I thought I’d post a link to research looking at The effect of open access and downloads (‘hits’) on citation impact: a bibliography of studies.

The research came out of The OpCit project, which was funded by the Joint NSF – JISC International Digital Libraries Research Programme. It is well worth exploring if you are interested in the area of Open Access and it’s potential for increasing citations.
